Catchy starters!

Check out some of our great introductions from our camp recounts! Brilliant!!

Hailey:
As I sat down on the carpet my mind was racing and my legs were shaking. It was the camp concert at Forest Lakes and despite the fact I was excited, I was also very nervous.

David:
Wow! Easy there Bonnie. Last Friday at Forest Lakes camp it was my first time doing horse riding. I was the last one to get a horse, my horse was named Bonnie.

Tane:
We were walking down the windy road in the early morning breeze, all 6 of us – David, Elliott, James, Ben, Luke and I with two parents to assist us – my dad and Phil. As we walked we started to smell something. For a while we wonder what it is. Then we see it…

Caela:
It was a busy day – flying fox, waterslide, tent pitching (which I wasn’t very good at), team building and spot light. After a long day like that all you would need to do is… SLEEP!

Luke:
“Can I go first?” “No me!” “Shut up guys, Luke’s going first!” Paul impatiently said. “Now let’s go!”

Kahlia:
“I’m so excited!” I remember saying when my activity group were walking to our next activity – horse riding.

Emily:
Every step my feet went slower up to the big, rocky, high grey wall. I was nervous, scared and shaking.

Sophie:
The agonising pain over came me. Man that T-bar was heavy. “It’ll be worth it” I remember muttering under my breath.

James:
Mmmmm, the fresh yummy scent of the sweet fresh food drifted me into the big warm dining hall and up to the bench. There it was – yummy cooked fish and chips all getting served up on to plates. With a dollop of sauce I was away and happily scoffing my face full of food. I can’t believe it” I said softly to myself “5 whole days of it” yummy.
